Champions of Titan
Champions of Titan (formerly Wild Buster) is a top-down sci-fi action MMORPG built around fast, ARPG-style combat and a roster of more than 20 playable heroes. Players align with one of two rival factions, Guardian or Abandon, then jump into cooperative PvE and competitive PvP modes where team composition and character roles matter, even when the bigger threat forces both sides to fight for the same cause.

Champions of Titan Overview
Champions of Titan is a 3D, top-down action MMORPG from Nuri Vista that leans heavily into hack-and-slash pacing rather than traditional tab-target MMO combat. Moment to moment, it plays closer to an ARPG, with quick skill usage, dense enemy packs, and a camera angle that keeps the battlefield readable while you kite, dive, and reposition.
A big part of its identity is the character roster. Instead of building one avatar and sticking with a single class, the game pushes you to pick from over 20 distinct characters, each designed with a clear role and a unique kit. That structure naturally encourages experimenting and swapping heroes to suit different activities, especially when you are grouping for PvE encounters or building a lineup for PvP.
The setting is a grim, militarized sci-fi universe where humanity is fractured into two opposing factions, Guardians and Abandons. Despite the rivalry, both sides are pressured into confronting a larger existential threat, the Broken, a half-human, half-machine enemy force that aims to convert what remains of humanity. In practice, the faction divide frames the competitive modes while the shared danger helps justify cooperative content and larger-scale fights.
If you ever played NCSoft’s now-closed Master x Master, the overall loop will feel familiar, a hero-based MMO structure with instanced content, PvP formats, and an emphasis on assembling a functional team rather than simply out-gearing opponents.
Champions of Titan Key Features:
- Over 20 Playable Characters – choose from a sizable cast of heroes with different roles and skill kits, making team building and counter-picks a real consideration.
- Guardians vs. Abandons – side with either faction and compete in PvP modes where coordination and composition can decide a match.
- Hack-and-Slash Combat – tear through enemies with fast, Diablo-inspired action, mixing abilities and movement to stay alive under pressure.
- PvP and PvE Modes – join up for cooperative boss fights and group activities, or test your team against other players in competitive formats.
- Gritty Sci-Fi Theme – fight across a war-torn future where scarce survivors, advanced tech, and desperation shape both factions and their conflict.

Development History / Background:
Champions of Titan began life under earlier names, including Project Titan and Wild Buster, with development tied to Nuri Star Ducks before that team was folded under the Nuri Vista umbrella in September 2016. Work on the project dates back to 2011, and it first surfaced publicly at G-STAR on November 13, 2013 alongside a trailer and playable demo. After a long quiet period, the game reappeared with the announcement of its second closed beta test in Korea, running from July 26, 2016 to July 30, 2016.
The title reached Steam Early Access on December 14th, 2017 as Wild Buster (Champions of Titan: Heroes of Titan). It did not maintain enough momentum to sustain its audience and shut down not long after. A re-release followed on August 16, 2018, launching into open beta under the Champions of Titan name via IDC Games. Servers later went inactive, with no activity since late 2019.
