WoW’s Winds of Mysterious Fortune Event Adds Trader’s Tender, XP Buffs, and Bonus Satchels

World of Warcraft’s Winds of Mysterious Fortune event is now live, giving players a short catch-up window ahead of Midnight. The event runs from September 8 through September 22, starting and ending with weekly realm restarts.

The main reward is 500 Trader’s Tender. To get it, players need to earn the “Winds of Particularly Mysterious Fortune” Feat of Strength by logging in with any character on five different days during the event. After that, the Tender can be picked up from the Collector’s Cache and spent at the Trading Post.

  • Characters from level 10 to 89 get a 20% experience buff automatically at login.
  • The event also grants 50% extra reputation with factions worldwide, except Zul’jarra’s Forces and Tokka’s Crew.
  • Players below level 90 can earn Mysterious Satchels from creature loot or as bonus quest rewards.
  • Satchels can include temporary stat boosts, visual effects, level-appropriate gear, and 10% experience potions.
  • The XP potions stack with the event buff up to 30% total and are Warbound, so they can be saved for other level 10 to 89 characters.
  • The first Mysterious Satchel drop each day is a Pristine Mysterious Satchel, with better reward chances.

One limitation to note: stat and elemental potion effects from the satchels won’t work in Mythic+, raids, or rated PvP. For everyone else, the event is mostly a straightforward alt-leveling and catch-up bonus, with some extra Trading Post currency attached if you log in across five days.
