WoW Sept. 9 Hotfixes Make Corrosive Coins Easier to Farm on Alts

Blizzard’s September 9, 2026 hotfixes for World of Warcraft include a useful change for players running alts through Prey. Once you’ve reached Preyhunter’s Journey rank 6, every character on your account that defeats Ral’kala can now earn 500 Corrosive Coins each day. Previously, only the first character to do it could claim the reward.

The update also touches Midnight and several Classic versions, with most of the live-game fixes aimed at broken ability behavior, encounter issues, and reward bugs rather than sweeping balance changes.

  • Blood Death Knights, Guardian Druids, Protection Paladins, Priests, Enhancement Shamans, and Warriors all received class-specific fixes.
  • Soft Underbelly is now account-wide, instead of being locked to one character.
  • Bountiful Coffers in Delves can once again award Zul’jarra’s Forces reputation as intended.
  • In The Venomous Abyss, Toxic Droplets no longer automatically step when landing on a player, and Living Venom no longer bypasses immunities.
  • Entombed Sentinels, The Lost Explorers, and Ula’tek received encounter fixes, including Hoji teleporting back if he falls off the main platform and Ula’tek properly ending Rage of the Shackled at set health thresholds.
  • In Den of Nalorakk, player pets can damage The Winter Squall again.

There are a few smaller item and PvP fixes too. Preternatural Antivenom now applies beyond just the wearer, Void Elf and Blood Elf eyebrows should stay visible with Aquatic or Brick Gloomcap equipped, and Bouncy Mushrooms no longer have collision.

Blizzard also fixed a Preservation Evoker Stasis exploit that could be used in the starting room of arenas and battlegrounds.
