Palia Is Coming to Switch 2 This Holiday Alongside New Echo Expeditions Mode
Palia is getting a Nintendo Switch 2 Edition this holiday season, and Singularity 6 says it’ll arrive as a free upgrade. The new version will add improved performance, richer visuals, and support for Joy-Con 2 mouse controls.
The same holiday launch window will also bring Echo Expeditions, a new mode described as Palia’s version of cozy dungeon crawling. It’s built around replayable Expeditions that can be played solo or with friends, with players taking on fantasy-themed challenges, clearing Echo manifestations, and earning progression along the way.
Singularity 6 is positioning Echo Expeditions as a co-op-focused activity rather than a competitive one. There’s no PvP, and the mode is meant to sit alongside Palia’s existing farming, hunting, gathering, and exploration loop instead of replacing it.
Echo Expeditions will launch at the same time across all current platforms, including PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and the upcoming Switch 2 Edition. The studio hasn’t shared an exact release date yet, but says more timing and gameplay details are coming closer to the holiday rollout.
