WoW Forever’s Final Class Highlights Video Covers Druid, Warlock, and Priest Changes

Blizzard has released the third and final Class Highlights video for World of Warcraft: Forever, this time focusing on Druids, Warlocks, and Priests. The video went up on the official World of Warcraft YouTube channel on October 6, ahead of Forever’s November 4 launch.

The short version: each class is getting new toys without being pushed too far from its original World of Warcraft identity. The beta is also still running, currently capped at level 30.

  • Druids get a major shapeshifting pass. Gear effects now work more fully in Cat and Bear Form, including weapon enchantments, on-hit effects, and combat procs. Bear Form also benefits from equipped weapon damage, and Druids can use potions and other consumables while shapeshifted.
  • Restoration Druids gain Wild Growth for area healing, while Balance gets a smaller take on Eclipse and more ways to use Entangling Roots.
  • Warlocks see changes across all three specializations. Affliction builds toward Wrack, a new level 40 channeled drain that increases the target’s damage taken from the Warlock’s other Shadow spells.
  • Demonology gets Decimation at level 25, plus reworked versions of Demonic Sacrifice and Demonic Pact. The big change is that Warlocks can summon another companion after sacrificing one for a buff.
  • Destruction gets Incinerate at level 40, a Fire spell that hits harder when the target is affected by Immolate.
  • Priests get several familiar later-era tools. Discipline gains Penance at level 30, Holy gets Prayer of Mending at level 40, and all Priests get Devouring Plague at level 20, instead of it being locked to Undead Priests as in original WoW.

Shadow Priests are also getting Devouring Contagion at level 30, while Vampiric Embrace can now trigger Spirit Tap, giving the spec another way to support mana regeneration during combat.
