Mortal Online 2’s October 14 PTR Will Test Big Combat and Stamina Changes

Star Vault has outlined the first patch in Mortal Online 2’s Era of Refinement, with a PTR planned for October 14. The update is mostly focused on combat feel, stamina pressure, healing flow, and a handful of quality-of-life changes around gathering and pets.

The biggest change is aimed at parrying. Players will no longer need to keep re-pressing block every two seconds to maintain the parry window. Instead, holding the correct block direction will keep the parry active, while stamina drains continuously for as long as block is held. Star Vault says the numbers may still change during PTR testing.

  • Endurance is getting a larger stamina regeneration bonus, moving from 1% to 5%.
  • A new primary action skill, Mental Fortitude, will reduce magic damage, with current values listed as 0-3 flat reduction and 0-5% magic damage reduction.
  • Common debuffs like Corrupt, Fulmination, Bleeding, Ignited, Shocked, Drenched, Frostbitten, and Oiled are getting visible effects, so players can read fights more easily.
  • Archery aim punch is being reworked so taking physical hits while drawing a bow causes a more noticeable aim offset.
  • Bandages can now be used back to back, with the heal timing matched to the animation. Healing values have been adjusted, and two stronger bandage types will be added as loot.
  • Adrenaline gained from taking damage is being reduced, while successful parries will grant slightly more.
  • Very low-power “wet noodle” attacks are being removed by giving attacks a minimum charge of about 40-45%.
  • Gathering nodes will now give full yield until depleted, and pet bag interaction range is being increased by 3 meters.

Several of these changes are clearly aimed at one-versus-many fights, especially the parry and Adrenaline adjustments. Star Vault says it wants to reward cleaner defensive play without letting larger groups build Combat Abilities too easily just by taking damage.

As usual for a PTR, the studio is framing these as test values rather than final balance. Players will be able to try the changes on October 14 and send feedback before the patch moves toward the live servers.
