WoW Forever Class Video Shows Frostfire Bolt, Baseline Consecration, and Hunter Changes

Blizzard’s latest World of Warcraft: Forever class highlights video focuses on Hunters, Mages, and Paladins, giving players a closer look at some of the kit changes coming ahead of launch next month.

The big notes include Frostfire Bolt becoming available to all Mages, Consecration becoming baseline for all Paladins, and Aimed Shot being redesigned so it no longer disrupts a Hunter’s Auto Shot timer. World of Warcraft: Forever is currently in beta.

  • Mages get Frostfire Bolt across the class, with the spell benefiting from both Fire and Frost passives. Frost also gets Ice Lance, while Fire adds Hot Streak for faster Pyroblast casts after crits.
  • Arcane Mage is being pushed further into a mana-management style. Arcane Blast boosts the damage of other spells, but each cast also raises the cost of the next Arcane Blast.
  • Paladins get Consecration as a baseline ability, damaging the first four enemies that enter melee range. Blessings and Greater Blessings now last one hour instead of five minutes.
  • Protection Paladins get Seal of Fury for extra damage, shielding, and taunting, plus Templar’s Bulwark, an 8-second cooldown that grants an absorb shield equal to 100% of max health.
  • Retribution Paladins get Twist of Light, which supports seal twisting by letting the next melee swing benefit from up to two Seals, along with a new instant-cast Holy Strike.
  • Hunters get a new version of Aimed Shot across all specs. Marksmanship can pair it with Sniper Shot, Beast Mastery gets a new Fox pet family, and Survival can place traps in combat.

This is the second class highlights video for World of Warcraft: Forever. The first covered Warrior, Shaman, and Rogue, while the last one is set to cover Priest, Warlock, and Druid.
