World of Warcraft patch 12.0.5 lands April 21 with Ritual Sites and Void Assaults
Blizzard has set World of Warcraft patch 12.0.5 for April 21. It’s the first post-launch content update for Midnight, and the big additions are two new repeatable activities: Ritual Sites and Void Assaults.
Ritual Sites are small-group instanced content for one to five players, built around escalating fights. According to Blizzard’s official post, players will be disrupting naga rituals in Eversong Woods and Twilight’s Blade activity in Zul’Aman. Blizzard describes them as similar to Delves, so they look aimed at players who want something structured without needing a full dungeon group.
Void Assaults go the other way. These are zone-wide events that move around and unfold in stages rather than inside an instance. Blizzard says players will deal with smaller void strikes first, then push into a larger incursion and boss-style fight once the event ramps up. Details are in a separate announcement.
Both activities will also bring new vendor rewards, including mounts and housing decorations.
That’s the main draw of 12.0.5 so far: one new activity for small flexible groups, another for players out in the open world, plus a fresh reward track to chase. If you’ve been waiting to see what Midnight gets after launch, this is the first real content drop on the calendar.
