World of Warcraft opens Midnight Season 1 Mythic raids and Mythic+ dungeons

World of Warcraft has opened the tougher end of Midnight Season 1. Blizzard has now turned on Mythic difficulty for the Voidspire and Dreamrift raids, added Voidspire’s second Raid Finder wing, and made a Story Mode version of Voidspire available as well.

Mythic+ also went live on March 24, with keystones dropping for eight dungeons total. According to the official post, that lineup includes four dungeons from the new expansion and four pulled from older expansions. Season rewards tied to Mythic+ rating include a carrion mount, an armor effect, and a higher-tier carrion mount.

This also marks the start of the Race to World First for the new raid tier. Blizzard separately confirmed the race is underway, though it’s already had a messy early moment after guild RAoV QA Strikes Back was disqualified for using cheats to deal massive damage during progression.

For players who aren’t pushing Mythic, the Story Mode and Raid Finder additions are probably the bigger immediate change. For everyone else, this is the point where Midnight’s first season really starts in earnest, with raid progression and Mythic+ scoring now fully live.
