Old School RuneScape adds its 2026 Easter event and a round of PvP-focused QoL changes
Old School RuneScape rolled out its 2026 Easter event on March 25, alongside a batch of quality-of-life updates that mostly target PvP activities and a few gathering-related systems. According to the official post, this year’s holiday event sends players after a missing chocolate egg that’s left clues behind.
The bigger gameplay changes are in PvP. Jagex says it has made adjustments to Last Man Standing, Bounty Hunter, and Emir’s Arena, while also changing how Trouver parchments and death insurance work in PvP areas. On the non-PvP side, the update also adds a smaller UI scale option for the mobile client and includes tweaks for Gathering, Hunter, and Farming.
Jagex hasn’t framed this as a major expansion or anything like that. It’s more of a seasonal event paired with a practical cleanup patch, especially for players who spend time in OSRS’ competitive modes.
If you want the full breakdown of the non-event changes, the separate patch notes go into more detail on the skill and item changes.
