World of Warcraft: Forever Stress Test Moved to October 21

Blizzard has moved the World of Warcraft: Forever server stress test to October 21, two days later than its previously listed October 19 date. The test will be open to all interested players, with no subscription, Game Time, beta invite, or beta access required.

The stress test starts at 2:00 p.m. PDT in North America and 19:00 CEST in Europe. For Korea and Taiwan, that puts it on October 22 at 06:00 KST and 05:00 CST, respectively. Blizzard says the beta will go offline shortly before the test begins and should return soon after it ends, though the test window could be shortened or extended if needed.

To join, players will need the Battle.net desktop app. Select World of Warcraft, then use the Game Version menu above the Play button to choose World of Warcraft: Forever Stress Test under the In Development section. From there, install the client, wait for the test to open, pick an available test realm, and create a new test character.

All characters, names, and guilds made during the stress test will be wiped afterward. That reset is happening ahead of Early Name Reservation, which opens October 27 and runs through November 3 for players who pre-purchase the Skyborne Heroic Pack, Skyborne Epic Pack, or limited-time Warcraft Forever Collection. Names will be first-come, first-served, and Blizzard is not guaranteeing that players will get the names they want.
