World of Warcraft: Forever beta ends with 8.8 million characters created
Blizzard has wrapped up the beta for World of Warcraft: Forever and shared a quick stats rundown from the test. The biggest number: 8,862,354 characters were created before the beta closed.
The game’s global launch is set for November 4, so this is likely the last public snapshot before players move into the full release. Blizzard did not share how many unique accounts or players took part, so the character count shouldn’t be read as a player count.
- Characters created: 8,862,354
- PvP kills: 9,959,014
- Deadliest dungeon: The Hall of Thanes
- Deadliest creature: Kobold Miner
- Deaths from falling: 1,157,204
- Duels fought: 1,248,125
- Forsaken Paladins: 612,096
- Zone with the most PvP: Hillsbrad Foothills
The beta stats also listed 1,889,084 Skyborne, though Blizzard didn’t add extra context in the shared rundown. For now, the main takeaway is simple: a lot of players were testing builds, dying to kobolds, and picking fights in Hillsbrad ahead of next week’s launch.
