World of Tanks update 2.2.1 adds three new Tier XI tanks

World of Tanks is getting three more Tier XI vehicles in update 2.2.1. According to the official post, the new additions are the Gorilla, Fauteur, and Executor, and each one comes with its own special ability.

The Gorilla is built around sustained fire. Wargaming says it can fire its main gun again before a full reload finishes, which sets it apart from the usual stop-and-wait rhythm most tanks follow. The Fauteur leans into burst damage instead, using a propellant afterburner to charge up stronger shots when timing matters.

The third tank, the Executor, is a wheeled vehicle with a speed boost. Its nitro burn gives it a short burst of extra mobility, useful either for chasing down targets or getting out of a bad spot fast.

That’s the main takeaway here: World of Tanks is still expanding its top-end roster, and it’s doing it with vehicles that sound more ability-driven than standard line extensions. The source post previews the tanks as part of update 2.2.1, though it doesn’t spell out a release date in the excerpt here.
