Where Winds Meet Opens Qingzhou on October 15, With Penglai Following Later
Where Winds Meet is getting a new region, Qingzhou, on October 15. The update adds a mountain-and-coast area inspired by Confucian themes, starting at Mount Tai and moving through places like Wellspring Town, Crownleek Terrace, and the Yellow River estuary.
Qingzhou won’t arrive all at once. The first part covers Eastern Peak and the valley route toward the Yellow River, while Mount Penglai, described as a misty island, is scheduled for October 29. Three world bosses are also coming with the region: Tidewatcher, Old Raftsman, and Zhu Yinghan.
The update adds a Local system, which lets players meet villagers and bring them along for different kinds of help. Depending on the character, that can mean navigation, puzzle solving, social interactions, travel support, or just a more direct approach when force is needed.
There’s also a new sect, the Inkbound Order. It’s built around debate, art, and music, and players can learn its skills as guest scholars without leaving their current sect. One of its activities is A Duel of Wits, a card-based PvP debate mode centered on verbal sparring and mind games.
Combat gets a new support weapon too: the Ribbon Drum. It mixes dance-like movement with drumbeats and ribbon attacks, with effects that can stun or silence enemies while also buffing allies through drum play.
