EverQuest II’s Nights of the Dead Is Back With New Quests and Level 135 Drops

Nights of the Dead has returned to EverQuest II and runs through November 2, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. PT. The Halloween event is live on standard servers and on the special ruleset servers Wuoshi, Varsoon, and Kael Drakkel, including the Headless or Tails and Cadavers of the Corn activities.

This year’s Live server additions are mostly new rewards and a fresh quest. Players can pick up Skull Crew Catalog, chase pieces of the Scurrilous Healer outfit from Wake the Dead treat boxes, and collect Nights of the Dead treats from Rage of Cthurath undead and creepy-crawlie beasts. Those treats can be sold for coin or used in tradeskilling.

• Lil’ Boo has 10 new house items, two new costume illusions, and the Celebrations of the Dead XIX recipe book.
• Headless or Tails can now reward level 135 equipment, along with the Gruesome Spaulders of the Sinister.
• Cadavers of the Corn can drop level 135 gear, the Embroidead Mistress Plushie, Active Corn Popper, and Phantasm Fiend Cap.
• Returning merchant Haint is back in player cities with older event items and recipe books from Celebrations of the Dead I through XVIII.

Older Nights of the Dead content is back too, including city Wake the Dead events, seasonal quests, achievements, collections, Gigglegibber Goblin illusions, and smashable jack-o’-lanterns in Neriak. Some returning achievements have been updated, including additions tied to skeleton gnomes and dwarves in the Nektulos calcified skeleton hunts.
