Where Winds Meet adds Liangzhou region and a new parry-focused weapon
Where Winds Meet rolled out the second chapter of its Hexi expansion on April 1, adding the new Liangzhou region. The update brings in a snowy new area, two new journeys, a Raging Tides faction players can join, and more world bosses.
The biggest gameplay change is probably the Heng Blade, a new sword weapon built around parries and counters. According to the official post, the weapon uses a deflect-and-counter system that lets players parry incoming attacks, interrupt enemies, and turn those openings into immediate counterattacks instead of relying mostly on dodges.
That makes this patch more than just another map expansion. It also adds a new combat style, complete with its own animations, which could have a bigger impact on how fights feel moment to moment, especially against bosses.
Where Winds Meet is the wuxia action RPG from Everstone Studio with online multiplayer elements, and Hexi has been arriving in chapters. Liangzhou is the latest piece of that rollout.
If you’ve been keeping an eye on the game but haven’t jumped in yet, this update is live now.
