Ultima Online: New Legacy Season 2 Is Live, Running Through June 2027

Ultima Online: New Legacy Season 2 is now available worldwide, following a soft launch that began on October 1. The new season officially opened on October 15, 2026, and is scheduled to run until June 2027.

New Legacy is Ultima Online’s seasonal ruleset, built around giving players a fresh start in Britannia with a more directed progression path. Season 2 keeps that structure but adds a sizable batch of systems, rewards, enemies, and crafting updates based on the first season.

  • A new player onboarding experience has been added for Season 2.
  • Chivalry is now available through the Paladin of Trinsic path for Warriors and Rangers.
  • Family Heirlooms introduce 31 new account-bound, one-of-a-kind items.
  • Pure Mage characters get improvements through Nystul’s Wisdom.
  • Crafting has been expanded with antiquities and heirlooms from gathering, pet lures, scrap and salvage, and Mechanical Life Knowledge automatons.
  • The Vesper Museum now includes 49 new antiquities.
  • Animal Taming has been expanded with Unicorn, Large Avian, and Primal categories, plus 11 new pets.
  • Season 2 also adds four new Legendary Foes and the Primal Lands champion spawn.

One limitation at launch: the Ultima Store won’t be available on New Legacy until October 27. Players jumping in before then will need to wait a bit for store access on the seasonal ruleset.

Season 1 launched in October 2024, and Broadsword says Season 2 is aimed at expanding and refining that first run rather than replacing the core idea. So if you played the previous season, expect the same fresh-start format with more paths to chase and more endgame targets on the board.
