Trove’s Shadow’s Eve event returns with Q’bthulhu and new seasonal rewards
Trove’s Halloween event is back. Gamigo launched Shadow’s Eve ’26 on October 20, giving players until November 3 at 11:00 AM UTC to help Lost Souls cross over, fight off Q’bthulhu’s creatures, and earn a new batch of spooky cosmetics and collectibles.
The event starts in the Hub with Wolfsly, then sends players through the questline to recover lost memories, missing book pages, and broken instruments for wandering souls. In Adventure Worlds, players can defeat Bad Souls, collect Ghostly Light and Bad Soul Essence, and craft Soul Gear used to defend Lost Souls from waves of Chaos Creatures.
This year’s rewards include the Ghostly Wheels mount, Curious Cauldron and Armored Andy allies, the Soul Sentry costume, and the Ghastly Gathering aura. Returning collectibles are also available through the Shadowy Station.
Gamigo also used its October community letter to answer a few larger player questions about Trove’s future. The studio said it has no plans to make Trove’s source code available, even in a limited form, citing technical, legal, and security concerns. Players are still being asked to send feedback and bug reports through official channels.
Building is getting some attention, though not immediately. The team said it’s exploring improvements to make building more accessible and enjoyable, including the possibility of a hover-style building feature similar to what players have asked for. Gamigo said it hopes to bring those changes to Trove in 2027.
The studio also said stronger action against cheating, exploiting, duping, and unauthorized scripts is in progress. That includes better detection, moderation improvements, a simpler player report system, and penalties for violations found after the fact.
