Tibia’s Summer Update Adds Scaling Boss Fights and New Top-Tier Weapons

Tibia’s free summer update is live, adding a new quest that ends in some of the MMORPG’s toughest boss fights yet. CipSoft says these encounters can be scaled infinitely, which fits a game that still has no level cap after 29 years.

Turning up the difficulty doesn’t just mean bigger health bars. The bosses also gain extra mechanics, so higher settings should ask more from groups than raw damage. Better difficulty also improves the chance of getting the new Moonsilver weapons, including swords, bows, and wands. According to the studio, these are now the strongest weapons in the game.

The update also expands Tibia’s Weapon Proficiency System. Moonsilver weapons can be leveled and customized, like the weapons introduced in last year’s summer update, and players can now replace two slots on a weapon’s skill tree. That change applies beyond the new drops, so existing weapons benefit too.

For players who want to learn the new fights before risking a proper run, Tibia now has a boss practice mode. It doesn’t give loot, but incoming damage is reduced, giving groups more room to figure out mechanics.

CipSoft is also continuing its recent push to make the long-running MMO easier to approach. A new starter zone now follows the tutorial island added in winter and guides players up to level 20. The studio also overhauled and expanded all classes in mid-June, with accessibility for newer players listed as one of the goals.
