Throne and Liberty update reworks Nix and adds Snowsoul weapons
Throne and Liberty’s latest update is live, bringing a larger round of changes to Nix alongside a new weapon tier, Snowsoul Weapons, and a new enemy grade called Party Champions.
The Nix changes are the big focus here. After The Frozen Divide launched, NCSoft said it wanted to smooth out parts of the frozen region, and this patch takes a wider pass at Remnants of Nix, Tumgir Vault, and Nix field events. Layouts have been adjusted, difficulty has been lowered in several places, and some problem spots tied to exploits or disruptive play have been addressed. The full breakdown is in the patch notes.

Snowsoul Weapons are meant to give geared players a new target without making their existing Ascended Archboss gear feel instantly useless. Crafting them requires an Ascended Archboss Weapon and the new upgrade materials, though there’s also a Skill Core crafting route that does not include a Potential Ability.
Party Champions should also change the feel of some group content. They sit between Elite enemies and full bosses, with some boss-style stats applied. Some Elite monsters that appear during events will now use this new grade, so fights that previously felt routine may hit a little harder.
The update also includes a broader weapon balance pass, clearer equipment selection when crafting, and auction house price searches for untradable items when a tradable version exists.
