Terraria’s “Bigger and Boulder” update lands tomorrow with new slimes and crossover gear

Terraria is getting a new update tomorrow. It’s called “Bigger and Boulder,” and it brings a revamped crafting UI, new items, new slime variants, sprite updates, and crossover content tied to Dead Cells and Palworld.

The trailer highlights expanded character creation options, along with various visual touch-ups. There are also changes shown for town NPCs, plus more of the usual grab bag of new stuff that tends to come with a major Terraria patch.

The Dead Cells collaboration is one of the bigger pulls here, and it’s finally arriving after being teased previously. From what’s shown, players can pick up an outfit based on Dead Cells protagonist The Beheaded, along with multiple new weapons inspired by the game, including options spanning different damage types. The trailer also flashes several whips, an early-game spear, and new furniture sets.

As the name suggests, boulders are getting the spotlight too. The update includes new boulder-themed items and variants, like a boulder that falls upward, a rainbow boulder, a boulder pet, and even a “poo boulder.”

Palworld also shows up in the crossover content. The trailer includes glimpses of several Pals, with Cattiva getting the most screen time. The original post notes some of what’s shown is still speculative until full patch details are released, but the trailer suggests Cattiva may function like a minion, complete with petting and emotes. Digtoise and Foxsparks also appear, along with what looks like Pal-themed metal armor.

More specifics should arrive alongside the update when it goes live tomorrow.
