Soulframe Gets New Summer Game Fest Trailer Featuring Jennifer English
Digital Extremes showed a new Soulframe trailer during the Summer Game Fest livestream on June 5, giving another look at the studio’s upcoming free-to-play fantasy adventure. The trailer features Jennifer English, known for her work in games including Baldur’s Gate 3, performing as Alora, the Empress of Eldveil.
Soulframe is the next big project from the Warframe developer, but it’s leaning into a different tone and setting. The game is built around nature, restoration, and a corrupted world called Alca, where players work to reclaim the land from twisted Omen Beast protectors.
Digital Extremes says players will be able to team up online, use abilities tied to the Virtues of Courage, Spirit, and Grace, and fight with ancient weapons, magic, and stealth. The studio is still describing the game as a personal journey through a handcrafted world, rather than a straight Warframe successor with fantasy dressing.
Players who want to try it can sign up for Soulframe Preludes, the free PC alpha playtest available through the game’s official website. Digital Extremes also says completion status from Preludes will carry forward through development, so players won’t lose that progress on the way to the full release.
No full launch date was announced with the trailer.
