AION 2 launches globally on PC this September
NC has confirmed that AION 2 will launch globally this September on PC via Steam and PURPLE. The announcement came with a new trailer shown during Summer Game Fest 2026, giving the MMORPG a wider rollout after its earlier release in Korea and Taiwan.
The global launch will cover North America, South America, Europe, and Asia, with support for 10 languages, including English, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, and Korean. NC hasn’t announced a specific September date yet.
AION 2 is set in Atreia and leans heavily on flight, not just as a way to get around, but as part of combat. The game also includes open-world PvP, a class system, character customization, solo and four-player dungeons, and eight-player raids. Combat is described as a mix of faster movement-focused play and traditional tab-targeting.
NC is also running closed-door demos for media and creators during Summer Game Fest Play Days from June 6 to June 8. Those sessions are expected to show off aerial combat, PvP, customization, and dungeon content ahead of launch.
Players who sign up for the AION 2 newsletter before release will get in-game pets at launch. The reward includes Pagati as a guaranteed companion pet, plus one additional pet chosen from Konutin Worker, Papis, Black Smoke Murute, or Silver Blade Rotan.
