Sea of Remnants opens its Wanderer alpha test through February 12

Sea of Remnants has kicked off its “Wanderer” alpha test, and it’s available now through February 12. NetEase and Joker Studio say access is being distributed via instructions shared on the game’s official social post.

The upcoming RPG comes from the developers behind Identity V and leans hard into a stylized pirate setup where characters are wooden puppets. During this test, players can poke around the pirate city hub Orbtopia, then head out onto the open sea to fight sea monsters and explore islands.

Alongside the test, the team also put out a new trailer focused on a character named R.S., described as the mysterious girl traveling with you. She’s positioned as a key part of the story during your trip toward the “Sea of Remnants,” a mythical place the game says can grant wishes at the cost of your memories.

Timing-wise, the alpha officially opened on February 4 at 6:00 PM PST (9:00 PM EST) and runs until February 12. According to the announcement, pre-download is available as well.
