RuneScape’s Leagues II: Equilibrium Is Live With Free-to-Play Worlds
RuneScape’s latest limited-time Leagues mode is live now. Leagues II: Equilibrium gives players a fresh start in Gielinor, with accelerated progression, task-based unlocks, relic choices, and a run that lasts until September 21.
This year’s event also adds dedicated free-to-play worlds, so more players can try the mode without needing a membership. According to the launch announcement, Jagex has also made progression changes and streamlined quest requirements following feedback from the first Leagues event, Catalyst.
The main hook in Equilibrium is choice. The full map starts locked, and players open up regions by completing tasks. Those choices affect what bosses, quests, skilling routes, powers, and future paths are available. Some unlocks can close off other options, so each run is shaped by the route you commit to.
Combat Blessings are tied to three paths: Order, Balance, and Chaos. Picking and sticking with an alignment can eventually lead to a stronger god-tier blessing, giving the mode another layer of build planning on top of area unlocks and relic picks.
Relics are back too, with Jagex saying they’ve been adjusted to feel stronger and offer more layered benefits. In practice, that means players should have more room to build around specific playstyles rather than just chasing a single obvious upgrade path.
Leagues II: Equilibrium is available now in RuneScape and runs through September 21.
