RuneScape previews Havenhythe Part II and the Heralds of Crimson quest finale

Jagex has shared an early look at Havenhythe Part II for RuneScape, which will open up the eastern half of the island and continue the Sanguine storyline. There’s no release date in the preview, but the update will bring new villages, ruins, enemies, skilling areas, and the quest Heralds of Crimson.

Heralds of Crimson is being framed as the finale for the Havenhythe portion of the Sanguine quest series, not the end of the whole storyline. The quest follows Inanna, Anya, the player, and the people of Wendlewick as they prepare for an invasion tied to the Ghrazi Blood Knights. Jagex also notes that the quest’s concluding scenes will include voice acting, so players may want to check their voice-over volume.

The preview also breaks down several new or expanded areas coming with Havenhythe Part II:

  • Berylbrook is a ruined fishing village overrun by the Sanguine threat, including feral werewolves. Players will also be able to catch hogfish there.
  • Heathervein is a mining-focused werewolf village with a large stone quarry and a giant frog named Aurora tied to access to the stone.
  • Moonsylvar Wood sits near the center of Havenhythe and appears to hide Inanna’s Den, along with other secrets.
  • Fenmoor is a swamp area home to bogolins, with mid-to-high-level Woodcutting content, claret crabs, petrified trees, fenn ivy, chima moss, and farming patches tied to its Sanguine bogolins.
  • Shuruk-Ba is a ruined seat of power connected to the Chimera Queen, now occupied by ravenous strigoi from Vampyrium.

The eastern side of Havenhythe also seems to lean harder into the island’s older history, especially through the dead colossi scattered across the region. One area, Divine Fall, will let players uncover memories tied to those colossi and learn what happened to them.

Jagex is holding back reward details for now, so the main takeaway is the scope: Havenhythe Part II finishes opening the island, adds higher-level requirements, and pushes the Sanguine storyline into its next major turning point.
