RuneScape is renaming Premier Membership and cutting the Loyalty Store in April
Jagex is changing up RuneScape’s long-running Premier Membership setup. The 12-month subscription is being renamed from “Premier” to the more straightforward “12 month membership,” and several of the perks tied to Premier are being retired or reshuffled over the next few months.
According to the official post, the biggest deadline players should note is the end of April, when the Loyalty Store is set to close.
- The Loyalty Store will shut down at the end of April, and its cosmetics will be moved into free monthly Marketplace drops.
- Monthly drops, Premier tokens, and the blue Premier star icon are being phased out.
- All subscribers will get free access to all boss instances (instead of a weekly allowance), and all membership tiers will be able to use member worlds. Those worlds were previously restricted to Premier members.
- The 12 month membership will still come with cosmetics, plus 100 bank slots. Jagex also says a new “Cosmetics+” bundle is coming in November, with “multiple months of free membership value,” and it’ll refresh each year.
Jagex didn’t lock in every date beyond the Loyalty Store closure and the November bundle window, and it says more specifics are coming later. For now, if you’ve been sitting on Loyalty Points or relying on Premier-only extras, it’s probably worth checking the details before the April cutoff.
