RuneScape Is Getting Quest Helper Through Its API Project This Month

RuneScape is adding Quest Helper this month as part of Jagex’s RuneScape API Project, bringing over one of Old School RuneScape’s most familiar quality-of-life tools with help from community plugin developers.

The feature is being built with input from Zoinkwiz, the original OSRS Quest Helper developer, along with JosTheFarmer, who made BOLT’s Quest Helper, and Techpure, creator of Alt1’s Quest Helper. Jagex has a deeper breakdown in its developer blog, including how players can give feedback on this and other API Project work.

Quest Helper is meant to make questing easier to follow by guiding players through objectives and steps, which is exactly why it became such a heavily used tool in OSRS. For RuneScape, it’s also a notable early example of what Jagex wants from the API Project: community-made tools getting closer support inside the game’s ecosystem.

Jagex also laid out the rest of August in its month-ahead post. Leagues II: Equilibrium starts on August 10 and runs until September 21, giving players a limited-time mode built around tasks, relic choices, and faster progression.

Later in the month, RuneScape is also getting bug fixes, two Marketplace drops, a new quarterly player survey, and a community discussion focused on “Shaping the End Game.” That endgame topic is set to get a spotlight in late August.
