NC Bringing AION 2, Cinder City, and Project Bonfire Reveal to Gamescom Opening Night Live

NC will show three games during Gamescom Opening Night Live on August 25: AION 2, Cinder City, and a currently unannounced project known as Project Bonfire.

AION 2 is the most familiar of the three. The MMORPG sequel recently got a new round of details through an AION Direct stream, including changes to its Founder’s Packs. Those packs will now include 30 days of membership at launch, and that applies retroactively to players who already bought one.

Cinder City is also getting time during the show with a new trailer. NC has described it as an open-world, cinematic third-person shooter, and the Gamescom trailer is expected to give a better look at its story and setting. The game was formally announced last month, alongside a Steam page, and its first playtest is planned for later this month.

Project Bonfire is the big unknown. NC says the Gamescom trailer will reveal the game’s official title, along with its genre, core concept, and some of the key features the team is building around.

Opening Night Live should give players a clearer read on NC’s near-term lineup, especially with AION 2 already moving through Founder’s Pack sales and Cinder City preparing for its first test.
