RuneScape: Dragonwilds sets Dowdun Reach update for March 31

RuneScape: Dragonwilds is getting its next major update, Dowdun Reach, on March 31. Jagex had already said the new region was coming this spring, but the date is now locked in through the official post.

Dowdun Reach adds a new area built around an ancient fortress that sits between Fellhollow and the Umbral Sands. Jagex says the region leans harder into exploration and combat, with a denser layout than previous zones. Players will be dealing with cursed knights, hostile mages, and a fortress loaded with magical hazards.

If you’ve been following the roadmap, this is the first of the new regions planned for 2026. It also comes after a small shuffle in the update’s feature list. Fishing was originally expected sooner, but that has been pushed to April. Dedicated servers, on the other hand, are now set to arrive as part of the March update.

Dragonwilds is Jagex’s early access survival sandbox set in the RuneScape universe. For players thinking about jumping in before the patch lands, the game is currently discounted to $21 during Steam’s spring sale, according to the source announcement.

Jagex also put out a teaser showing off the fortress, its surrounding landscape, and the general look of the new zone. The bigger takeaway, though, is simple enough: Dowdun Reach arrives March 31, with a new region to explore and dedicated servers coming alongside it.
