Dominus Automa is an MMO built entirely around auto-play, with another test planned for May
Dominus Automa is taking a pretty unusual angle for an MMO: the game is built around automation, not manual play. According to its Steam page, players set up their character’s routines, combat behavior, priorities, and long-term goals, then let that character keep progressing on the server around the clock.
That means the main game isn’t about active grinding so much as configuring how your character fights, farms, gathers, and reacts to danger. Metashift Labs is also pitching a player-driven economy with crafting and resource gathering, with automation settings that can be adjusted as needed.
The game doesn’t have a release date yet, but it has already run one public playtest. Another test is planned for May, and this one is meant to focus on multiplayer features, a hub city, and AFK progression, based on the developer update.
If you’re curious, the game is currently up on Steam for wishlisting and following. Test sign-ups are being handled through the official Discord, according to the same update.
It’s a niche pitch, especially since auto-play is usually the part of mobile MMOs that gets the most pushback. Here, though, that’s the whole point. If Metashift Labs can make the strategy and economy side interesting enough, Dominus Automa could end up standing out just by committing fully to the idea.
