RuneScape: Dragonwilds Hits 1.0 on September 15 and Comes to Xbox Game Pass Day One

Jagex has confirmed that RuneScape: Dragonwilds will leave Early Access and launch its 1.0 version on September 15, 2026, with an Xbox Series X|S release included day one through Xbox Game Pass.

The survival crafting spin-off is also coming to PlayStation 5 on the same date, including PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium for subscribers. On PC, it’ll launch through Steam, the Jagex Launcher, and the Epic Games Store in Digital Standard and Deluxe Editions. Nintendo Switch 2 is getting a Digital Standard Edition as well.

Dragonwilds is a standalone game set in RuneScape’s world of Gielinor, but it trades the MMO format for open-world survival. Players head to Ashenfall, a new continent, either solo or in groups of up to four. The loop is familiar for the genre: gather resources, build shelter, craft gear, level skills, brew potions, and fight creatures, with dragons sitting at the center of the main threat.

Jagex is leaning on RuneScape’s usual skill progression and fantasy flavor, but magic plays a bigger role in the survival side here. Players can use spells to help chop trees, mine ore, move around in combat, and generally speed up the grind.

The game is already available on Steam Early Access, where Jagex says it has reached more than one million players. The September launch will also mark the franchise’s first move onto consoles.
