ROSE Online Patch Reworks Summons, Scout Skills, and Early Dungeons
ROSE Online’s September 13 patch is live, with a focus on summon updates, Scout skill changes, and easier lower-level dungeons. The update adjusts several summon abilities across classes, gives Scouts a few targeted tweaks, and cuts down the difficulty in early versions of Ulverick, Halls of Oblivion, and Sea of Dawn.
The full notes are available on the official forum post, but the main takeaway is pretty straightforward: summons should have more active utility now, while some lower dungeon encounters should hit a lot less hard.
- Summons have been updated with new or adjusted effects, including Beast bleed and debuff interactions, Hawk’s automatic Sweeping Dive, and new area effects for Cleric summons.
- Artisan summon gauge values have been increased to 125, or 190 with the gem, alongside adjusted summon costs. Terror, Dread, and Judgment also get new combat effects.
- Crossbow Scout’s Arrow Shower now has a 10-second cooldown, down from 12 seconds, and applies a 10% physical defense reduction for 6 seconds.
- Several Crossbow Scout passives now scale with STR instead of DEX, including Offhand Expertise, Steady Arm, and Shield Blocking.
- Bow Scout’s Arrow Shower and Poison Arrow Shower now cast faster and have separate 8-second cooldowns.
- Lower-level Ulverick, Halls of Oblivion, and Sea of Dawn have had HP, attack, defense, and magic defense reduced to half their previous values.
Lower Ulverick also gets a smaller crowd-control change, with its stun reduced to 2 seconds. That should make the early version of the fight less punishing, especially for newer players or groups still learning the dungeon.
The patch also fixes a few bugs, including Game Arena restrictions that allowed matches to start too early, a union costume issue, storage item delay problems, and Mac/Linux texture and rendering issues tied to Vulkan.
