Project Gorgon patch removes a major Prodigy exploit and adds a batch of smaller fixes
Project Gorgon got a new patch this week, and the biggest change is a fix for an exploit tied to Prodigal Epiphany buff stacking. According to the official post, developer Elder Game says the bug let some players push far past the intended power curve.
The studio says players who only gained a small number of levels through the exploit won’t be affected, but anyone who used it heavily will have those Prodigy levels removed. Elder Game said it doesn’t consider the issue an illegal exploit, but it did treat it as game-breaking because of how much progression it could skip.
The rest of the update is a mix of system tweaks, balance changes, and quality-of-life fixes. Vulnerability stats have been split into separate damage vulnerability and target vulnerability categories to make things clearer, and Vampirism got some rebalancing across a few skills and effects.
- Statehelm doors were fixed so players can pass through them properly and NPCs stop getting stuck.
- Horse races now give more loot.
- The quest log is searchable.
- The party social window has been fixed.
- Some creature audio, including ug and goblin sounds, has been turned down.
- Character creation also got a small cleanup, with eyebrow visuals on new characters adjusted.
It’s not a huge content patch, but it does clean up a pretty serious progression problem and knocks out a handful of long-standing annoyances at the same time.
