Pax Dei Is Getting a Seven-Day Free Trial on Steam
Mainframe Industries is adding an ongoing seven-day free trial for Pax Dei on Steam, giving curious players a way to try the survival sandbox MMO without buying in first. There’s no launch date for the trial yet, but the studio says more details are coming soon.
According to the official Discord announcement, the trial will include access to the full game for one week with no stated gameplay restrictions. Trial players will be able to claim a temporary plot, gather resources, craft, build, trade, take part in PvE and PvP, and join a clan.
That plot setup matters because Pax Dei’s housing and land systems are tied to plot ownership, with players maintaining plots through paid tokens or Grace earned in-game. For the trial, Mainframe is using a temporary plot so new players can test the core loop without needing to sort through the game’s paid access structure first.
Progress made during the trial will be saved. Once the seven days are up, the temporary plot will be frozen for 72 hours before being released, and its items will move into the Redeeming Queue. Players who buy the full game afterward can recover those items and continue from there.
