Pantheon PTR Adds Early Class Mastery Testing for Tank Classes

Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen’s Combat and Progression Update PTR has added the first playable version of its Class Mastery system, starting with three tank classes: Warrior, Paladin, and Dire Lord.

Players at level 5 or higher on those classes can now open the early Mastery UI, spend points, and test how the system works. According to the week six update post, characters earn one Mastery Point per level, so anyone unlocking the system at level 5 should already have points to place into nodes.

For this PTR phase, Visionary Realms is letting players reset and refund Mastery Points for free at any time. That won’t be the case when the system reaches the live game, where resets are planned to have a cost.

The studio says the current focus is mostly on whether the system functions properly. The Mastery trees themselves are still being built, with placeholder UI elements and balance changes expected later. Feedback the team is looking for includes broken nodes, UI problems, confusing interactions, and suggestions that make the system easier to use.

Visionary Realms plans to roll out Mastery support for 11 classes by July 17. Monk and Necromancer will come later. After that, the system is expected to move to the production servers for tuning.

The studio also says it will announce dates “as soon as possible” for the planned wipe, the full Combat and Progression Update release, and the new Badia de Cara zone.
