Jin Universe Studios Forms in Singapore, Reveals Anime ARPG Aether Dawn

Singapore-based Jin Universe Studios has launched with backing from Arbitrum Gaming Ventures and Bitkraft Ventures, and its first project is Aether Dawn, an anime-inspired hack-and-slash RPG.

The studio says the undisclosed investment will go toward development of Aether Dawn, which it hopes to build into a long-running IP. No release window, platforms, or pricing were announced.

Jin Universe Studios was co-founded by Tack Wei Ho and Tack Jun Ho. The team includes developers with experience at Tencent, Hypergryph Network Technology, and Kuro Games, with past credits tied to Hitori no Shita, also known as The Hidden Ones, Arknights, and Wuthering Waves.

Details on Aether Dawn are still light, but Bitkraft described the game as combining action RPG combat with roguelite replayability. For now, that’s the main hook: fast hack-and-slash combat, anime styling, and repeatable runs built into the structure.

The announcement also points to continued investor interest in anime-styled action games, especially from teams with experience on large Chinese-developed RPGs and mobile titles. Whether Aether Dawn lands closer to a premium RPG, live-service project, or something else entirely hasn’t been made clear yet.
