Once Human console closed beta starts March 26 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S
Once Human is holding a closed beta for its console versions later this month, with testing set to run from March 26 at 7 p.m. PT through April 8 at 12 a.m. PT. The beta is for PlayStation 5, PS5 Pro, and Xbox Series X|S, and access is invite-only.
Players can sign up through a Google form in the game’s Discord announcement, while Xbox users also have the option to apply through Xbox Insider. According to the announcement and FAQ, selected players will be able to preload the beta starting March 24 at 7 p.m. PT.
The test includes the tutorial and the Manibus scenario. Servers will be available in North America and Europe, and the beta uses controller support only. NetEase also says cross-platform play will be enabled between Xbox and PlayStation during the test.
One useful detail for anyone trying to squad up: if you’re using the same linked account, you can switch the platform you join on. So if you get invited on one console and a friend gets in on another, you should still be able to play together.
The beta will support 10 languages. Players who reach level 20 during the test will also unlock a cosmetic reward pack for the full console launch, including the Abyssal Dragon set and Dragon Dance – KAM.
Once Human is already available on PC, and this beta is the clearest sign yet that the console release is getting closer, even if a launch date still hasn’t been announced. The game hits a daily peak of over 17,000 players on Steam, which makes it one of the more popular free to play games on the platform.
