Old School RuneScape Adds Elemental Magic Amulets in Summer Sweep-Up Patch

Jagex rolled out the miscellaneous batch of Old School RuneScape’s Summer Sweep-Up 2026 on September 2, led by a new set of elemental Magic amulets and several smaller quality-of-life changes. According to the official post, this is the fourth part of the summer cleanup project, with a pet-focused batch planned for September 16.

The main addition is a set of four elemental amulets tied to Slayer drops and Runecraft. Each one gives +10 Magic accuracy and +2 max hit for spells of its matching element. Players can then combine all four into a single Elemental Amulet, which applies those bonuses to all elemental spells.

  • Amulet of Air: made with an Air diamond from Killerwatts, an Amulet of Magic, and 100 air runes at the air altar. Requires 18 Runecraft.
  • Amulet of Water: made with a Water sapphire from Sea Snake Hatchlings, an Amulet of Magic, and 100 water runes at the water altar. Requires 19 Runecraft.
  • Amulet of Earth: made with an Earth emerald from Molanisks, an Amulet of Magic, and 100 earth runes at the earth altar. Requires 20 Runecraft.
  • Amulet of Fire: made with a Fire ruby from Infernal Mages, an Amulet of Magic, and 100 fire runes at the fire altar. Requires 21 Runecraft.

The Slayer jewels have a 1/64 drop rate. To make the Elemental Amulet, players need all four elemental amulets plus 500 runes of each matching element at any elemental altar. That requires 30 Runecraft.

The September 2 patch also adds the Necklace of fangs, makes unsireds stackable in the bank by adjusting how unsired loot rolls work, and improves shark lures by reducing their action delay. Ghommal’s lucky penny is now consumable, and its effect can apply to the amulet of blood fury.

There are a few smaller cleanup items too: the seed vault now supports inventory locking, surge potion cooldown no longer resets when dying during a Chambers of Xeric raid, player-owned house lecterns have a Create-Last option, and players who owned multiple fish sacks can reclaim molch pearls. The abyssal lantern can also be stored in magic wardrobes.
