NC Reports Big Q2 Gains as Lineage Classic Drives PC Sales
NC posted a strong second quarter, with sales up 38% from the previous quarter and operating profit up 53%. Year over year, the jump was much larger: sales rose 101%, while operating profit climbed 1,053%.
The company brought in ₩770.5 billion, about $544 million, for the quarter. According to NC’s official financial report, PC game sales hit a quarterly record for the second quarter in a row.
PC revenue reached ₩343.8 billion, around $243 million, with Lineage Classic doing much of the heavy lifting. The game generated ₩185.5 billion, about $131 million, during the quarter. NC said Lineage Classic had reached ₩269.1 billion, roughly $190 million, in its first 140 days as of the end of June.
The wider Lineage business also held up. Lineage Remastered grew 18% compared with the previous quarter, while Lineage M was up 4% on mobile. NC also pointed to positive numbers from its casual mobile platform JustPlay, though PC was clearly the standout this quarter.
NC’s overseas business kept growing too. International markets accounted for 52% of total sales, with Korea making up the remaining 48%. North America and Europe represented 27% of the total, while other Asian markets accounted for 25%.
Next on the schedule, NC is heading to Gamescom in Cologne with AION 2, Cinder City, and Project Bonfire, the latter of which is set for an official reveal. The company is also expected to take over global publishing duties for Throne and Liberty by the end of Q4 2026.
