Mortal Online 2 Starts Its Era of Refinement With Combat, Siege, and Gathering Changes

Mortal Online 2 has rolled out Patch 3.1.20.29, the first update in Star Vault’s new Era of Refinement. The studio says this phase will follow a monthly release schedule, with the focus shifting toward improving existing systems and content rather than piling on big new features.

This first patch is a large one. It touches combat, gathering, territory control, AI, skills, crafting, and UI, with several changes aimed at reducing friction in day-to-day play.

  • Bandages have been reworked. The hidden cooldown is gone, timings and healing values have been adjusted, and interrupted bandaging is punished less harshly than before.
  • Gathering nodes now give full yield until they’re empty, instead of tapering off near the end. The game window also flashes when a gathered resource is depleted.
  • Parrying and blocking have been changed. Blocking now drains stamina while held instead of costing stamina up front, and players no longer need to reset parry input every two seconds.
  • Relics and Dynamic Events should appear much more often on Wednesdays and Sundays, with spawns spread throughout the day.
  • Outpost sieges now use staged timers, with 15 minutes for the outer gate, 20 minutes for the inner gate, and 25 minutes for the flag stage, including overtime.
  • A new primary skill, Mental Fortitude, reduces incoming magic damage in a similar style to Defensive Stance.
  • Halloween walkers have been added to graveyards, with rare drop tables.

There are also several clade gift changes, especially for humans, Thursars, and Oghmirs. Some gifts have been renamed or reworked entirely, including new effects tied to sprinting, fire resistance, adrenaline, low-health melee damage, and emergency recovery from mercy mode.

On the quality-of-life side, crafting windows now have a trash checkbox so players can destroy crafted items automatically while training. Brokers gained new filters, including pet level for consumables, and house owners can collect 70 new weapon decoration plaques. Guild heraldry now appears on keep structures and strongholds, too.

The patch also fixes a long list of AI and world issues, including some safe-spotting cases, mount swimming alignment, missing vendors, mineable rocks, and several dungeon collision or navmesh problems.
