MapleStory’s Maplayer One Winter Updates Add Lethe, Quanah, Bellona, and Shorter Boss Fights

MapleStory’s winter update slate is called Maplayer One, and Global MapleStory is kicking it off on November 11, 2026. The first wave brings the new Lethe job, the Quanah event world, Challenger World Season 4, several growth events, and a batch of system changes aimed at speeding up progression and trimming down boss runs.

A second wave follows on December 16 with the third set of 6th Job HEXA Skill Nodes, the new endgame boss Bellona, Operation: Re-Dive, Mystic Frontier Champions Season 2, and a Catch! Teenieping crossover. MapleStory Classic World is also being folded into the broader winter celebration alongside Interactive and Heroic Worlds.

  • Quanah is a temporary event world with its own Inspector Level system, special equipment skills, fast leveling, dungeon stages, challenge dungeons, and boss attempts tied to entry tickets. Players can transfer a designated Challenger World character into Quanah after reaching Lv. 260 and finishing 6th Job Advancement.
  • Lethe, Sovereign of Oaths is a new INT-based Magician class that uses a Dominium and Quill. Her five summons attack automatically, so Nexon is pitching her as a simpler summoner-style job. New Recruit Missions will offer growth rewards, with extra rewards for Lethe characters.
  • Bellona arrives December 16 as a Lv. 280+ endgame boss in Solatum, with Easy, Normal, and Hard difficulties. Hard mode can drop a new Brilliant Boss accessory, Sanguinary Spirit.
  • Major bosses are getting their HP reduced to two-thirds of current values, with shorter time limits. Nexon says there isn’t a planned across-the-board change to Intense Power Crystal prices.
  • Growth support includes Hyper Burning MAX up to Lv. 260, Beyond Burning’s 1+1 leveling extended to Lv. 280, Hyper Blink from Lv. 200 to 260, and Item Burning Plus in Challenger World.

There are plenty of smaller quality-of-life changes too. Epic Dungeons and Monster Park are being streamlined, Heroic Worlds will get account-shareable Sol Erda Fragments from hunting, Ursus will move to one daily entry with the same total meso rewards, and boss practice will support individual phases. Bosses will also be enterable without clearing prerequisite quests.

Nexon is also handing out an Inkwell’s Thank You Gift from October 19 through November 22. It’s claimable once per account from the Maple Administrator NPC on characters Lv. 101 and up, and includes a Character Slot Expansion Coupon, Sol Erda and Fragment selectors, 2,000 Advanced EXP Vouchers, Mystical Familiar Cards, a Karma Legendary Potential Scroll, and MapleStory Fest 2026 cosmetics.
