Soulframe Will Open PC Preludes Testing to Everyone, No Invite Needed

Digital Extremes is getting ready to open Soulframe’s PC testing to all players, ending the current invite-only setup for its Preludes build. The studio announced “Open Preludes” on October 16, saying players will be able to sign up through Soulframe’s site, download the launcher, and start playing without waiting for an invitation.

There’s no start date yet. Digital Extremes says more details will be shared during Devstream 18 on October 30 at 3:30 p.m. ET, including what Open Preludes means for Soulframe’s development going forward.

Soulframe is still in an early testing phase, and Digital Extremes has been rolling out Preludes updates as it builds out the game’s world, systems, and feedback loop with players. The latest available build is Preludes 16: Of Hook & Hound, while the next update is titled Preludes 17: The Veillands.

For now, the main takeaway is simple: PC players who’ve been waiting on access should soon have a direct way in. Digital Extremes hasn’t announced console testing plans or a wider release window in this update.
