Mabinogi’s Arcana: New Awakening Part 1 Lands November 12 With Ogham Runes

Mabinogi’s next major update, Arcana: New Awakening Part 1, is set to go live on November 12, 2026. The update focuses on new Arcana skill combinations, an Awakening System, and a new Ogham Rune feature tied to boosting offensive Arcana attacks.

Nexon says the runes are based on the Old Irish Ogham alphabet, with most of the 26 letters using Old Irish etymology. In-game, they’ll work alongside Arcana skills and become part of the new awakening setup rather than just a collectible flavor item.

The team is also planning a preview livestream ahead of launch. Community Managers Elebon and Hana will walk through Arcana: New Awakening Part 1 on November 10 at 2:00 PM PST, or 5:00 PM EST, on Twitch and YouTube. The stream will cover the Awakening System, dungeon changes, upcoming events, sales, and giveaways.

One small maintenance note for current players: the weekly allotment of Neartite will be removed when the update arrives on November 12. If that affects your current routine, you’ve got a few days to account for it.

Nexon also said the Mabinogi team has been holding recent meetings with the development team and is looking to expand in the coming year. For now, the main thing on the calendar is the November 12 launch of Arcana: New Awakening Part 1.
