Mabinogi Renovation Season 8 Adds Crom Bás Abyss and Reworks Several Arcanas

Mabinogi’s Renovation Season 8 update is here, bringing another broad round of Arcana changes alongside a new high-end Crom Bás difficulty and the Dark Erg enhancement system.

The biggest addition is Crom Bás Abyss, a new version of the dungeon for parties of up to four players. To enter, players need to have completed the Memories from the Abyss quest, reached Arcana Level 300 or higher, and hit Equipment Level 1200 or higher. Entry also requires a Crom Bás Abyss Dungeon Pass for each party member.

Those passes can be purchased from Brielle outside Crom Bás, with the price rising as you buy more during the week. The first pass costs 100,000 gold, while later purchases climb sharply, eventually reaching 50,000,000 gold from the 11th pass onward. Prices reset Thursdays at 7:00 AM server time. Passes last seven days and can be refunded only if the party hasn’t defeated the boss and players leave through the dungeon’s Exit button.

Season 8 also adds Dark Erg enhancement. After clearing Memories from the Abyss, players can use Brielle to access the system, but only weapons already at S50 Erg can be enhanced. Dark Erg uses Dark Erg Crystals from Crom Bás Abyss, can be raised to level 50, and personalizes the weapon once applied. The patch notes also clarify that Guard Cylinders were listed as eligible by mistake and have been removed from the Dark Erg weapon list.

The Arcana side of the update is wide-ranging. Sacred Guardian gets new skills including Virtuous Oath and Zealous Conviction, while Martyr’s Consecration has been removed with AP refunded. Harmonic Saint, Dark Diviner, Alchemic Sharpshooter, Explosive Vanguard, Arsenal Gunner, Forbidden Alchemist, Melodic Puppeteer, and Blazing Brawler all received skill adjustments or new effects.

There are broader balance changes too, including shorter cooldowns for Battlefield Overture and Vivace, updates to Combat Mastery stats across races, new Healing Wand Erg effects, enchant adjustments, Brí Leith dungeon tweaks, fantasy life changes, bug fixes, and a list of known issues.
