Farever’s Call to Glory Update Adds Heroic Dungeons on September 30
Farever is getting its next major update on September 30 with Call to Glory, headlined by Heroic Mode, a new dungeon difficulty above Normal and Veteran. The mode adds tougher bosses with more health, new attack patterns, and extra fight twists, with Epic Gear and Medals of Glory tied to clears.
Players don’t have to wait until launch day to try it. Heroic Mode is already live on Farever’s Public Test Branch on Steam, where four dungeons are currently available: Lost City of Mayda, Crabgantua’s Gorge, Mine Estrone, and Ratsar’s Lair. More Heroic dungeons and bosses are planned for later test updates.
- Heroic Mode is aimed at endgame players looking for harder repeatable content.
- Bosses still scale based on group size, but the overall difficulty has been raised.
- Medals of Glory will be used for exclusive rewards, though the merchant is listed as an incoming feature.
- Group resurrection during boss fights is being added.
- Players will be able to see party members through walls.
- Map pins, improved chat channels, and a compass are also included in the test build.
The test branch also includes the Spark Cube, a temporary guild merchant item meant to help with Heroic difficulty. It stores 50% of the damage dealt to each enemy, then releases the stored damage after 20 seconds. Once used, it can be refilled at Obelisk waters.
Other features planned for the public test rollout include Heroic-specific achievements, an Infusions system with faction-themed bonuses, reputation, an emote list, and performance improvements. To access the build, players need to right-click Farever in their Steam library, open Properties, go to Betas, and select the Public Beta Branch.
