LOTRO Update 49.5 Opens New Reward Tracks, Angmar and Mordor Hit 115 Next Week

The Lord of the Rings Online has rolled out Update 49.5: In Good Company, bringing back the Legendary Items and PvMP reward tracks today, September 2, 2026. Both tracks run until 9:59 AM Eastern on December 2.

The bigger date for Legendary World players is September 9. Angmar and Mordor will raise their level cap to 115 after weekly maintenance, and the seventh through ninth Ringwraiths will also become available. The Abyss of Mordath raid follows on September 17 at noon Eastern, opening on Tier 1 and Tier 2.

  • The 19th Legendary Items Reward Track includes the Tome of the Mottled Vulture, Dol Guldur Prison housing decor, Feasting Hall decorations, and Golden Stag Family pets.
  • The 8th PvMP Reward Track adds new Monster Play class appearances, weapon cosmetics, and cosmetics for the “March!” skill.
  • VIP players can unlock the PvMP Reward Track in the LOTRO Store at a 50% discount.
  • The Treasure Bugan event returns September 10 at 10:00 AM Eastern with a Treasure Grim pet, Arnorian Raven-tower housing decoration, and “the Hoarder” title.

Update 49.5 also includes a handful of Ettenmoors fixes. Roots killed in the Delving of Frór now count toward the Denizens of the Deep quest, some Gramsfoot quests have been adjusted around older and newer monster tutorials, and the Warg Stalker Black and Striped Red-maw appearance item no longer has a level requirement.

There are also localization fixes for French and German text, plus smaller visual fixes for housing item animations, dual-wield sheathing on Elf and Hobbit avatars, Promised Allies armor and mount clipping, and a couple of emote animations.
