LOTRO Summer Expansion Sale Starts June 25 as Update 49 Tests Delving of Frór Changes

The Lord of the Rings Online is lining up a Summer Expansion Sale starting June 25, with discounts running through July 9. The sale covers a wide spread of expansions, from the newer Kingdoms of Harad to older releases like Before the Shadow.

According to the official forum post, the discounts break down like this:

  • 20% off Kingdoms of Harad
  • Up to 90% off Before the Shadow
  • Up to 85% off Minas Morgul, War of the Three Peaks, and Mordor
  • Up to 80% off Fate of Gundabad
  • Up to 65% off Corsairs of Umbar
  • Up to 40% off Legacy of Morgoth

Meanwhile, Update 49 is still being tested on Bullroarer. The current test build focuses partly on Delving of Frór, the open dungeon tied to the Ettenmoors, with changes aimed at making it easier to move around through new entrances and exits.

The Ettendeep is also getting new quests meant to pull players from both sides of the PvMP conflict into the area. Standing Stone Games is using the Bullroarer discussion thread for feedback while testing continues.
