Lost Ark’s first 2026 server merge phase wraps after extended downtime

Lost Ark’s first phase of western server merges is finally done, but it took longer than planned. The merge work began Wednesday, August 26, and ran for more than 24 hours before servers came back online Friday afternoon.

Amazon Games said during maintenance that Europe was moving faster than North America, and that the team was prioritizing caution over giving a firm ETA. After the reopening, North American servers were taken down again for about 30 minutes for an urgent fix, though Amazon didn’t specify the issue.

Players received login compensation after the outage, including consumables, currency, and item selection boxes. The weekend still wasn’t entirely clean, though. Amazon also temporarily disabled Elysian and Paradise content after an exploit was found, with no return time announced.

According to the official server merge details, Phase 1 combined Nineveh into Balthorr, Luterra into Vairgrys, and Brelshaza into Thaemine on NA East. On EU Central, Ortuus merged into Arcturus, while Ratik merged into Elpon.

Phase 2 is still planned for September 2. That round will merge Balthorr into Inanna and Gienah into Arcturus, leaving Lost Ark’s western version with five servers after the process is finished.
