Lost Ark’s Ends of the Abyss update is live with the Kazeros finale and easier Guardian Raids

Lost Ark’s latest update, Ends of the Abyss, is live today, and its biggest addition is the final Chapter 1 story quest that leads into a showdown with Kazeros in Petrania. Players who’ve finished the required quests can continue from “Kazeros Denouement” into “One Who Confronted Abyss’s End,” which wraps up the current story arc.

According to the patch notes, this questline includes a lot of cinematics, and the developers are explicitly warning players to set aside enough time before jumping in. If you normally auto-skip cutscenes, this is one update where you may want to turn that off.

The patch also makes Guardian Raids easier to clear. Several raids have had their difficulty adjusted, and most no longer limit character revivals. Hanumatan is the exception. Guardians are now shown on the minimap and won’t move between areas, which should cut down on some of the usual busywork. Solo players and duos without a support also get a combat support buff.

Kazeros raids have been adjusted too, with changes aimed at making them simpler to finish. The general idea seems pretty clear: make it easier for more players to get through the raid path and reach the new story finale.

Outside of that, Paradise Season 3 is now underway, and the update adds the new Guardianknight Challenge progression event alongside the existing Challenge Express. Players can pick a different character for this event. The patch also includes support for upcoming server merges, plus the usual round of class balance changes, improvements, and bug fixes.
